The SIA Door Supervisor licence offers a gateway to a rewarding career and is unique as it qualifies an individual work as a Door Supervisor and Security Guard. A door supervisor has the luxury of working in entertainment venues where alcohol is being served, such as hotels, casinos, nightclubs and other venues. In the UK, all security industry qualifications are specified by the SIA and offered through the fully approved training proviers. Our highly experienced SIA training providers will deliver only the best when it gets to security training. All our venues are equipped with state of the art presentation facilities to aid learning.

Security Guard Training

Security Guard training - lasts for 27 hours over the course of two or three days, with two of these hours entailing examinations which you must pass if you wish to become a Security Guard. These examinations are designed to ascertain if you have understood and absorbed the theory which has been covered by the course, and taken on board the information which will be essential for anyone wishing to make a living as a security professional. This information varies from some which may strike you as being obvious, to some which you may never have considered but which is of no lesser importance.
The Security Guard course is divided into three units
- Working in the Private Security Industry
- Working as a Security Guard
- Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry

Close Protection Training

To take account of the vastly more complicated role of the Close Protector, the SIA’s training course for candidates takes 150 hours – five times longer than the duration of training for a Door Supervisor. The reason for this is that there is so much more to learn, and a much greater imperative to ensure that it is given time to sink in and fully assessed. There are fifteen modules involved in Close Protection training, and they are as follows:

Level 3 Award in Close Protection
This qualification consists of three units;
- Working in the Private Security Industry
- Working as a Close Protection Operative
- Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry

- FIRST AID AT WORK TRAINING (HSE) + DEFIBRILATOR TRAINING
- EVASIVE DRIVING and/or CONVOY DRIVING
